MITCH HARPER

From rain-soaked hills to rugged worksites, Mitch Harper is always in the thick of it. As a champion Hard Enduro rider and skilled diesel mechanic, he’s built a career on resilience, horsepower, and a relentless drive to keep going.

"I grew up riding as a young fella with a mentor who was a four-time world champion. He got me into enduro, and I traveled through Europe with him when I was younger. My best result was finishing 5th in the Under-23s world rankings, and I’ve also earned three gold medals at the ISDE which is pretty much the Olympics of motorsport."

"It’s physically demanding - you're out there in tough conditions, sometimes stuck on hills in the pouring rain, pushing your bike through sloppy mud. It’s brutal on the body. Injuries can be a big setback, but I see them as motivation. They push you to work harder, come back stronger, and build resilience. It’s just as much a mental challenge as it is a physical one."

It all comes down to hard work

"What drew me to being a diesel mechanic is the satisfaction of finishing a job - doing a full rebuild and firing up the engine at the end. I started as a mature-age apprentice and completed my four-year apprenticeship in just two years and ten months. I even won Heavy Diesel Apprentice of the Year in Australia.

It all comes down to hard work - put in the effort, and it pays off. Every day, I’m troubleshooting breakdowns on excavators and machinery, often in remote places. The best part? Sometimes the only way to get out there is on my dirt bike, so I get to combine both my passions."
